| summary: | We are in a revolution in which video games have begun to be used for both entertainment and non-entertainment purposes. This revolution has created a discussion on how we can advance the state-of-the-art of game technology to support entertainment and serious games of the future, creating a 'science of games.' To meet these challenges, the USC Viterbi School of Engineering has formed the GamePipe Laboratory, a laboratory that focuses on research, development, and education on technologies and designs for the future of interactive games and their applications. This presentation will describe the R&D vision for GamePipe as well as our new undergraduate and graduate programs in game development. |
