| summary: | Engr. Funsho Kupolokun is the group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Prior to his appointment in November 2003, he was the special assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo on petroleum matters, in which position he was charged with responsibilitues for policy formulation, long-range plans and programmes, optimization strategies, and the promotion of the government's reform agenda in the oil and gas industry. He is working with partners toward the rapid monetization of Nigeria's gas resources, through gas-based projects like LNG, NGL, and the strategetic Independent Power Projects, which will improve power generation in the country. |
