| Abstract: | Delivered by Azizah Y. Al-Hibri, professor of law at the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law, The Qur'anic Worldview: A Womanist Perspective, deals with the status of the interpretation of the Qur'an and the perspective shaped by its teaching and exposition in the hands of male scholars. She calls for a gender-inclusive reappropriation of Holy Scripture with the participation of women in the exposition of the Qur'an. This is part three in a three-part lecture series co-sponsored by the Baker Institute and Rice's Center for the Study of Cultures. |
